Destin Bikini Girl Catches First Cobia of Our Fishing Season

Into The Blue is back on the water, and what a lovely first catch we had! One of our first customers of the season was Rachel Bennington of Destin, Florida. She's a local fishing girl who was ready to open up the Cobia season in style on our yacht. After only 20 minutes in the gulf, she pulled in this massive 50-pounder.
This beauty is half her size as you can see!  Check out the catch in this video here:

Don't forget to book your own fishing trip with us at Team Mariner. We've got more than bikini girls and Cobias on deck. Spanish Mackerel, Amberjack, White Snappers and Trigger fish are all out there ready to catch.

Catching Cobia In Destin, Fl

That's me and my crew catching a Cobia big enough to place 3rd in a tournament. Looks fun, right?
Cobia fish are some of the tastiest treats in the Gulf Coast. If you want to catch a Cobia in the Destin, Florida area, it helps to know how Cobias live, eat and swim. I’ve been catching Cobia for 10 years out in Destin on my charter boat, Into The Blue, and I know their lifestyles like I know my family.

Winter Fishing Advantages In Destin, Florida

Let's face it: Winter isn't exactly the first choice for booking a charter fishing trip in Destin, Florida. You can't put on your lightweight clothes and even in Florida, the Destin harbor breezes can be a little stiff.

Although the charter boats don't always get out, winter could end up being the best time you've ever had  shoreline fishing, dock fishing or charter fishing Destin, FL. For one, the crowds are sparse, so you don't wait in line for anything at the Destin Harbor Walk or the Destin Yacht Club. Whatever fishing bait and tackle you want for winter fishing you want, you can get at a pretty good price. Just pack some warm clothing.

5 Worst Mistakes Before Deep Sea Fishing

As a Destin, Florida deep sea charter yacht worker and captain for the last 10 years, I can tell you that plenty of customers leave our charter yacht happy. If you caught the biggest fish you ever caught and you’re sleeping on the way back to shore, we did our job. But that isn’t always the case with every  Harbor Walk or Destin Marina customer. And it’s not our fault, either. Many  deep sea fishing customers end up wasting a lot of money and time because other Destin charter boats that want to steal your business don’t prepare you for the trip.

I can tell you right now there are five mistakes that if every deep sea fishing customer knew about before they signed up for a charter yacht fishing trip, they would always leave happy.
